My installation work aims to explore the personal and group behaviours within a multi-dimensional surveillance environment. These behaviours are usually restricted through monitoring the individual privacy. I'm seeking a way to observe the social necessity of surveillance and its impact on the cultural progression. On the other hand, I question people’s attitudes and responses towards both online and offline monitoring. I'm currently focusing on the issue relates to the online personal information leakage in China, as well as the government's restricted 'free speech' strategy regarding sensitive political topics.

I recut, add, assemble, overlap and paste daily objects and acrylic plates to make devices, which transform into my artistic language to encounter and inspire audiences to be aware of the limitation of thinking and the influences of surveillance.

Beyond installations, I also paint, which usually looks a bit unique and contains surrealistic features, particularly, my interest in drawing eyes. I give each eyes different meanings basing on different contexts. For example, I pay close attention to the news reports and create works according to those participants' reactions to the event.
